| Ken Ng... Who???
Yeah, that's me aka Peaz. Full name's Ng Yin Chern. My
family nick's Ken. And those are all the names I have apart from all the other
childish nicknames that my friends gave me during primary school, which I don't want to talk or even think about...
So, Who Really *Is* Ken Ng?
Well, I'm from Bukit Mertajam. An up and coming town in
Penang, Malaysia. Well, you know those Made In Malaysia markings on the Intel and AMD
chips? Well, they are all made here in my state! :D
And
yes, for you guys who noticed it... I'm in the same hometown as Adrian's. In
fact, we attended the same Primary School and High School too!!! I've known
Adrian since I was Form 4 in my high school and he was the one who introduced me
to the wonderful world of overclocking! Thanks, man!
Hmm... I'm now not in Bukit Mertajam but in Kuala Lumpur
instead... That's the capital of Malaysia. I'm taking up a Computer Science
Degree programme (majoring in Networking) in University Malaya.
Personal Interests?
Life sometime presents to you the best thing that can happen to you, ever. Mine is presented in Leian, the love of my life. She's my first and foremost interest...way above everything else that I love...(I surely hope she don't ask me to quit computing now!)
Hmmm... Computers, computers and computers. I live, eat
and sleep computers. LOL! Nah...
I have a fascination with computers hardware and I really
like to fiddle around with it. I used to have a 286 to play with in
1993-94. Back then, all I did was QBASIC programming, coming up with sets of
config.sys and autoexec.bat that will load everything and still have about 630kb
of main memory! :D
My friends and I were the config.sys gurus at our place.
Anyone with problems configuring them would come to us. Wow!
Then, came a fateful day when my 286 had to die. I could
not recall what the problem was. That was the day when I became interested in computer hardware. Without any prior knowledge whatsoever, I armed myself with a
screwdriver and basically dismantled the whole motherboard and everything in the
case, cleaned them up with a brush and fixed them all back together.
Well,
of course it didn't help a bit as it was one of the chips on the motherboard that
failed. However, since then, fixing and dismantling computer components were my forte.
Ah... but now, everyone knows how to do it, right?
Other then that, I also have a keen interest in 3D animation
and graphic designing. I've been using 3D Studio Max from the Release 4 for DOS up
till the latest Windows version - 3D Studio MAX R3.1. Everything's self taught as
the official training here is very, VERY expensive. Well, below are some of
my recent work.
