The Package Arrived!!!

After seeing some pictures of Zalman's 'Flower Heat Sinks' at [H]ardOCP and also Mikhailtech, I thought we at ARP should also try to establish contact with Zalman and perhaps get a review sample of our own.

I then visited Zalman's website and e-mailed them. Although I didn't put much hope on it, Zalman answered me a couple of days later. I was totally surprised by their rather prompt response and even more when they agreed to send us a CNPS3100 unit to review!

But after waiting for about a week, the cooler failed to arrive. So, I e-mailed them regarding this and asked them about the delay. Yet again, they surprised me with their prompt response (they replied my e-mail the very same day I sent it!). The reason for the delay, it appears, was a mishap in handling. They thought that they had shipped the package to me although the package wasn't sent at all.

That was not all - they even added another cooler, the newest CNPS5000-Plus, to be shipped to us along with the promised CNPS3100! Wow! If only other manufacturers were as generous as they are. :D

And this time, the package from Zalman arrived after three days.

Zalman And CNPS

But before we continue, let's see what Zalman has to offer that no other heatsink and cooler manufacturers can. If Alpha and GlobalWin is usually associated with the extremely loud and noisy Delta black label fan, then Zalman is quite the opposite.

They developed something they call Computer Noise Prevention System, CNPS for short. They goal of this CNPS system is to provide the highest possible cooling performance without the noise. They have a whole line of CNPS parts - coolers for the CPU, graphic cards and hard disks; as well as power supply units and fans too.

Zalman recommends that you use all their CNPS products for a completely noiseless computer system. Well, if you want to know more about CNPS, hop over to Zalman's website and check them out.
