XIGMA EM-500 PDA Case

Conclusion

The XIGMA EM-500 PDA case has every appearance of a quality product. I can't say much about its design because I haven't been able to actually test it with an EM-500 Pocket PC. But as far as I can tell, it was well manufactured and very nicely packaged. It will make a great gift.

The case itself is going for USD 59 (~RM 224) while the belt clip will cost an extra USD 10 (RM 38). So, this particular EM-500 PDA case will set you back by USD 69 (~RM262). A little pricey, if you ask me, especially the cost of adding the belt clip, which is nothing more than an ordinary plastic clip. Of course, they will need to add a metal insert to the case as well but is that so expensive?

Personally, I would have preferred the threads to be black as well. The pictures on the site show that the threads are black but the case I received had white threads. Some people may not like this so if you are considering of buying a XIGMA case, make sure you tell them exactly what you want.

You should also take note that no matter what their website says, none of their cases will fit the E-125 Pocket PC. It would be prudent of you to confirm with them if their case will actually fit your PDA. As far as I know, they are only having problems with this particular model because someone screwed up and told their marketing people that the EM-500 case would also fit the E-125...

The case isn't cheap but it's made entirely of cowhide and goat suede. If you want something durable and classy, well, you just got to pay for it. It's good to note that XIGMA is providing a free leather care kit with all their cases. Therefore, all in all, it's a pretty good deal. Just make sure you tell them what you want exactly before you buy the case.
