| The EM-500 Case
As you can see, it uses a button clip, instead of velcro to secure
the flip top against the case proper. The flip top does more than
just protect your EM-500's touchscreen. It also allows you to store
some papers (or money), business/credit cards as well as your
stylus.
For papers or dollar bills, there are three compartments. One of
them (the top compartment) was supposed to be for a notepad but
frankly, it's too thin to store most notepads out there. In fact,
it's so thin that even storing dollar bills in there would be quite
a task. But you can definitely store your bills in the two spacious
side compartments.
The two card compartments are also quite spacious. You can easily
fit in two credit cards into each compartment. Three's possible but
will be a little tight. Because business cards are thinner, you can
fit five to seven cards in each compartment.

The case is completely made from leather. The outer covering is
made from cowhide while the inner surface uses goat suede. I
especially like the suede interior. Very nice! The case was sewn
using white thread. Only single stitch but that should be more than
enough. After all, it's only designed to carry a Pocket PC! :)
There are many cutouts in the case itself to allow access to the
EM-500's buttons and ports. Although I never tried it out myself, it
appears that the case will allow you to sync your EM-500 via the
cradle while it's in the case. Of course, you will have to unlock
the flip top because the strap that secures it to the case will
cover the serial connector as well. |
