Installation

Installing the ViewQuest AmazingCam VQ680 4-in-1 PC Camera was quite easy. First, you have to install the TWAIN and Video for Windows drivers included in the driver CD. It's an Autorun CD so a menu will pop up as soon as you insert the CD. Choose to install the drivers and any of the other bundled software that might interest you.

USB Cable

After you have finished installing the drivers, just pop the USB cable into any free USB ports and Windows will automatically 'install' the ViewQuest AmazingCam VQ680 4-in-1 PC Camera. Right after that, you can use it either as a PC Camera, a Web Cam or even as a digital camera! Of course, in the digital camera mode, you'll need to pop in the four AAA size batteries (provided with the camera).

Using The Camera

The ViewQuest AmazingCam VQ680 4-in-1 PC Camera is really very easy to use. There are basically three buttons as well as one LCD display. The three buttons are the On/Off button, the Mode button and finally, the Snapshot button.

Well, a picture worth a thousands words. So, I guess there's no need for further explanation.

And as with the AmazingCam VQ630 digital camera, there is a focus ring that can be rotated for manual focus. But unlike SLR cameras, the viewfinder is independent of the camera's lens. So, you won't be able to take close-up pictures while in digital camera mode.

It's worth mentioning that it also sports a standard screw hole for you to attach a tripod. And lastly, there is a hook for you to tie the camera's sling on the left side.
