With so many brands of CD-burners now available in the market, sometimes we just don't know which one is the best deal. Some are cheap but their reliability are often questionable. Others might be a little too expensive. And the abundance of features and differences just adds more to the confusion.

Mr. Tay of Integrity Micro Distribution Sdn Bhd was kind enough to loan us the Lite-On 12x10x32x BURN-Proof CD-Rewriter drive. It is supposedly the only CD-RW drive using the BURN-Proof technology that is available here in Malaysia currently. The Lite-On CD-RW was an interesting unit to test as the BURN-Proof technology is relatively new here.

But you might ask, "What is all the fuss with BURN-Proof anyway? Maybe it's just another marketing gimmick and is nothing more than just a larger cache buffer." Well, read on and you'll find out.

The sample unit we received for testing was not an OEM one but instead the retail version. So, what we have reviewed is exactly what you'll get when you buy the drive. I do not have a digital camera so I'm sorry that we will not be able to show you a picture of the whole package. :D
