The next procedure is to measure the width of your
mouse's feet. Make sure every mouse foot is covered. Then, cut the
Mouse Skatez and peel off the protective back tape. This was a
challenge for me. It took me about 5 minutes just to peel off the
back tape. The back tape was so thin that I had to use a blade to
separate it from the Mouse Skatez.

Now, it's time to fix them onto the mouse feet.
The adhesive is pretty strong so the Mouse Skatez won't come off
by itself unless you intentionally peel it off. I actually tested
how well the tape adhered by removing it and sticking it back
again. You may need to do this if you got the alignment wrong.
Note that this tape really sticks well!

Testing The Mouse Skatez
I don't have any quality mouse pads with me so I
tested the Mouse Skatez on my el cheapo mouse pad.
At first, I tested it on my desk. It was so much
slicker now. The mouse itself is quite light and requires little
effort to move them. Now with the Mouse Skatez on, my mouse glides
with almost zero effort.
The before and after experience on my cloth-type
mouse pad was amazing! For gamers, the smoothness will definitely
improve the gaming experience. But for graphics editing, you will
still need some friction for better accuracy. With the Mouse Skatez,
it met my gaming needs while still allowing sufficient friction for
my Photoshop sessions.
Note that the Mouse Skatez will collect dust after
extensive use. But the cleaning process is pretty simple. Just use a
damp cloth to wipe it. |
