Right Hidden Pocket

The right hidden pocket is located below the right side pocket. The front surface also has a mesh lining. But it suffers from two flaws.

Flaw No. 1 : It's Small! The pocket is very small and shallow. My E-125 could just fit in with only about an inch of space left between the E-125 and the lining. And that's assuming you don't have fat thighs! :)

FYI, it's the same if you try to put an iPAQ in it. In the photo, it seems that there is a lot of space left but once you put the pants on, it will feel different because your leg is now occupying the space. It appears that this pocket was designed to carry a PDA because of its size, which would be great if it wasn't for one other problem...

The iPAQ

The right side pocket actually overlaps the right hidden pocket. Take a look at the picture. Notice how the side pocket (blue colour) is able to cover most of the top half of the hidden pocket (red colour). That would mean that it is possible for whatever that is in your side pocket to press down on whatever's in your hidden pocket!

I usually keep my wallet in my right pocket and the moment I realized this, I stopped putting my E-125 in the right hidden pocket. I replaced it with my Nokia 8250 handphone. Being short and thin, I could place it horizontally and deep into the pocket so that it won't have any contact with my wallet.

It is possible that Palm devices might be a better fit in these pockets since they're a little shorter but everyone knows how I feel about those "things". Heheh... As it is, you are better off putting smaller stuff in the right hidden pocket, especially stuff that don't have expensive display screens like CompactFlash cards, Memory Sticks, coins, etc, etc... Because of the way the right pockets are arranged, I don't recommend putting a PDA in the right hidden pocket, not even Palm PCs because no one should go through the pain of losing a PDA!
