Global WIN WBK38

The updated version of the FOP38 - the Global WIN WBK38 is a real beauty. They fixed some of the problems that plagued on FOP models. They still come with the chewing gum-like thermal paste but the interface is now much smoother compared with the FOP although the machining marks are still very obvious.

I love the feel of the heatsink's smooth edges. Although the FOP and WBK models look the same from the outside, the design and construction of the WBK models have improved tremendously. The is still a huge gap in between the fan and the wave type heatsink. The WBK38 is also powered by the same screamer - the Delta 'Black Label' 37CFM 60mm fan.

It still uses the same high pressure clip system, which I have nothing to complain about. If correct method is used, the clip is relatively easy to install, unlike what other reviewers have claimed. The heatsink is as wide as the FOP series but comes without the cut-out so it has more surface area then the FOPs. Theoretically, the WBK should outperform the FOP.

The obvious difference between the FOP and the WBK is the size of their fins. The fins on the FOP are all of the same length but the fins of the WBK have different lengths (in a wavy design, similar to the letter W).
