Casio Cassiopeia E-125 Pocket PC

Other Design Features

The Cassiopeia E-125 was really designed for the right-handed. When you hold it with your left hand, your thumb can easily access three buttons and the jog dial. The Power button is the first button from the top while the Start Menu button is next to it. To prevent you from mistakenly pressing the Power button, Casio raised the top edge surrounding the Start Menu button and made the Power button smaller.

Next is the jog dial which enables you to scroll up and down using only your thumb. It also doubles as an Action button when you depress it. Below it is the Record button which opens up the Notes application with the first press and then starts voice recording with the second press. Incidentally, notice the tiny hole at the left bottom corner of the E-125? That's the microphone. :)

Other than the buttons, you can also find an audio out jack and an infra-red (IR) port. Both of them are really placed in an awkward position. With the audio jack in the side, any attached earphone will prevent the Pocket PC from seating properly in your pocket. A more desirable position would be at the top. The same can be said of the IR port. To use the E-125's IR port, you have to turn the Pocket PC to its side which is rather inconvenient.
