Casio Cassiopeia E-125 Pocket PC

The Cassiopeia E-125

Casio has long been known for creating excellent electronic devices and their flagship Pocket PC product, the Cassiopeia E-125 is yet another of their many success stories. But if you ask any first-time Pocket PC buyer, he/she will most likely be gunning for the new Compaq iPAQ and may not even have heard of the Cassiopeia E-125! Still, many veteran Pocket PC users will opt for the E-125 instead. Now, why is that?

While the E-125 isn't the slowest Pocket PC in the block, it isn't the fastest either. Powered by a 150MHz MIPS processor from NEC, it still lacks the raw processing power possessed by the Compaq iPAQ. However, speed isn't everything or the E-125 wouldn't remain one of the most popular Pocket PCs in the market.

Many would say that the E-125's salient feature is its superb display. Capable of displaying 65,536 colours, the Casio HAST touch screen has to be the best Pocket PC screen to look at and write on. As the touch screen is the main interface between the user and the Pocket PC, many Pocket PC users would wisely place the quality of the touch screen as the top feature to look for in their choice of a Pocket PC.

But is the HAST touch screen the only reason for the E-125's popularity among Pocket PC users? Let's find out!
