The Bose QuietComfort
The QuietComfort headset was actually designed for use during
air travel. According to Bose, passengers in a jet plane typically
experience sound pressure levels in the range of 75 to 85 dBA
while those in turboprops experience levels closer to 90dBA! The
Bose QuietComfort can suppress about 17dB of noise across the
range of human hearing.
Officials specs are nice but how well does the QuietComfort
really perform? Well, I'll be testing its performance in the
upcoming weeks, including an in-flight test. But in the meantime,
feast your eyes on the QuietComfort retail package!

The retail box and its contents
Bose doesn't just send you a headset. You can see just how much
thought went into the package. Everything you will ever need to
make full use of the Bose QuietComfort headset is inside the box.
Obviously, Bose wants to make sure this is a first class trip for
the user. :)
Here is what you should expect to see in the package :-
- a Bose QuietComfort Acoustic Noise Cancelling headset with
its control unit
- a belt clip for the control unit
- a large padded carry bag
- a detachable sling for the carry bag

- an airline stereo audio adapter
- a 6.3mm stereo audio adapter
- two Maxell Alkaline Ace AAA batteries

What a list, eh? 8) Let's take a closer look.
