Task Manager
Method 1
- For instant access, press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc.

- Right-click on the taskbar or the tray.
- Select Task Manager... on the list that
appears and the Task Manager pops up.

- Go to the Startup folder and create a new shortcut
there.
- In the Create Shortcut wizard, type in the location of the
Task Manager. Normally that would be Drive:\WINNT\system32\taskmgr.exe.

- In the next screen, type in a name for that shortcut.

- This creates the following shortcut in the Startup folder.

- This automatically loads Task Manager as a green tray icon
when Windows 2000 start up, which incidentally monitors your
CPU usage.

- To bring up the Task Manager instantly, just double-click
the green tray icon.
