Slow Scroll?
Is scrolling using your mouse wheel excruciatingly slow? This
is due to smooth scrolling which is enabled by default. With
smooth scrolling, flipping the mouse wheel moves the screen pixel
by pixel. So, if you flip the mouse wheel once, it might be moving
100 pixels down but the screen will be redrawn a hundred times to
get to that spot. Turn off smooth scrolling and you get to the
spot with only a single screen update!
Now that we know what's causing the slow scrolling, let's see
how we can turn off smooth scrolling!
- Go to Control Panel and select Internet Options.

- In the screen that appears, select the Advanced tab.

- Scroll down and uncheck the Use smooth scrolling
option.
- Click on OK and that's it! Smooth scrolling is
henceforth disabled and scrolling using your mouse wheel will
be a lot faster and usable than before.
