Different Directory As Root
- Right-click on the Windows Explorer shortcut and select Properties.
- The following screen pops up :-

- In the Target box, add /root and the location of the
directory you want Windows Explorer to show when you open it
with a comma in between. In
this example, the directory F:\Adrian's Rojak Pot is selected. (as
shown below)

- Now, click OK and then try out the shortcut.
- Windows Explorer should now show the contents of the Adrian's
Rojak Pot directory on drive F: and its subdirectories.

Thanks to a tip by Glen
Graham!
Notes
- You can choose to use a very deep directory like F:\dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4\.
- Remember to add a comma before each extra command. In this
example, a comma is added before the /root command and
the directory path.
- Note that if you set a particular directory as the root
directory, Windows Explorer won't allow you to access any parent
directories and their subdirectories. You can still access all
subdirectories under the directory set as root.
- This is useful to restrict novice users to certain
directories. Of course, if they can still access the rest of the
hard disk using My Computer so don't rely on this to
protect your sensitive data from prying eyes.
