Windows Explorer In Any Directory

An Explorer Window Anywhere You Want

The Windows Explorer is the main method by which you navigate through your storage devices. You already know how to set it to display a different folder from the default My Documents folder and in a variety of ways through this tip.

But what happens if you were navigating through your drive and you need to open a new Explorer window at a certain folder? Normally, the new Explorer window would start up in the folder you have set (or My Documents by default), forcing you to navigate to that particular folder again.

Now, there's a solution by which you can instantly open up a new Explorer window in whichever folder you wish.

With help from cht0, I have formulated two methods by which you can open up a new Explorer window in whichever folder you want :-

Note that the default Explore option (found when you right-click on a folder) can do this trick without any further efforts. So, you don't really need this tip. This tip is mainly for educational purposes or if you prefer to restrict the focus of your Explorer windows to prevent accidental clicks on the wrong folder in the Folders bar.
