DIY PDA Holder

Shaping The PDA Holder

Now, before we start shaping the PDA holder, we need to decide what to use. I created my holder with some metal sheet. To be exact, the metal sheet that used to be the cover of the 5.25 inch bays. Take a look at the pictures below and you'll see what I mean.

Metal sheet, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, some foam
packaging material, double-sided tape and scissors

See the metal sheet there? Yeah, that was what I meant. Of course, you can use any metal sheets but hey, I'm making use of something that's otherwise useless, right? Anyway, there are a few reason why these metal sheets are very useful. One, they are easily shaped and yet strong enough to support even the heaviest PDA. Two, most have holes drilled in them already so there's no need for any drilling. All you need are some nuts and bolts.

So, you have your raw material ready. Now what? Shaping the PDA holder, what else? :)

Let's start with the unit that holds the sides of the PDA. If you're thinking of running off to grab your ruler while cursing me that I didn't mention anything about a ruler, well, hold on a second. There's actually no real need for a ruler or any measurements. Really! Okay, before we start with the instructions, take a look at more pictures so that you will understand what I mean.
