Overclocking The Casio E-125 Pocket PC

  1. You will also have to remove a certain white ribbon cable first. As you can see in the picture below, it has a blue tip which is locked in by a brown clip.

  1. The clip is rather delicate so it's advisable to use the tip of the screwdriver to gently push it out (as shown below).
        
  2. Once it's loose, you can disconnect the white ribbon cable.

    

Important Notes

  • The ribbon cable supplies power to the backlight of the touch screen.
  • Therefore, be very careful when disconnecting or reattaching the ribbon cable.
  • If the ribbon cable or the clip is damaged, the backlight will not work!
  • So, do NOT use any forceps or pliers to hold it or pull it. Doing so may tear the delicate wires inside the cable.
  • In addition, make sure you don't bend or twist the ribbon cable during its removal or insertion.
  • It's highly recommended that you use the tip of the screwdriver to push out the brown clip and then gently pull out the ribbon cable.
