Overclocking The Casio E-125 Pocket PC

  1. With lock tabs unlocked, you will be able to easily part the two covers. Just be careful of the two wires (shown in the picture above).
        
  2. Now, the area of interest is on the other side of the PCB. So, you will have to flip the PCB over. However, before you can do that, you will have to remove certain screws.
        

     

     
  1. See the small daughterboard boxed in red? That's the ROM daughterboard with its two 8MB ROM chips that contain the Pocket PC operating system and preloaded software. You will have to remove it first in order to get to one of the screws.
       
  2. To remove the daughterboard, you will need to use a small screwdriver. Unscrew the two screws that hold the daughterboard to the main PCB.
       
  3. Then, gently rock the daughterboard until it detaches from the PCB.
        
  4. Now, take a look at the PCB minus the daughterboard.

  1. See the two small screws marked by the two red arrows? Unscrew them. That will release the PCB from the front cover.
