FrontPage 2K2 Problems
03:25 PM MYT Adrian Wong
I just installed FrontPage 2002 recently and it's been giving me
really major headaches! Loading HTML pages take forever and it
actually hangs very often! I have already updated it with the Office
2002 Service Pack 1 but there have been no real improvement. If you
have any idea why loading a simple HTML page off my hard disk takes
over two minutes, please let
me know. Thanks! :)

Temporary Host

Sorry for the long disappearance, everyone. The site got hit by
DOS attacks right after we posted the
RAID Optimization Guide. Crowz restored the site several
times since then but they kept hitting it. Hence, the site was more
or less dead for the last 2-3 weeks.
Apparently, the attacks came from China. I don't know what they
have against us but they seem to be targeting us rather doggedly!
Don't they have better things to do??? Sigh...
Anyway, I have mirrored most of the site on another server. For
the moment, the URLs
www.rojakpot.com and
www.adriansrojakpot.com won't work. You will have to go to
www.itcp.net/~awsh/ to
access the site but if you are reading this, you should already know
this, right? Heheh... But please do me a big favour and spread the
word. Many people are still e-mailing me and asking me what happened
to the site.
We will have more updates coming up. But in the meantime, enjoy
the pictorial guide of the
Xigma EM-500 PDA case and if you own a Casio EM-500 Pocket
PC, do take part in the contest. The case is worth USD 69!

EM-500 PDA Case & Contest!
02:50 AM MYT Adrian Wong
The standard cases that come with most PDAs leave much to be
desired. This has created a lot of demand for quality PDA cases.
Recently, I have been fortunate enough to receive one of these cases
for review purposes.
It was a
Xigma PDA case for the Casio EM-500 Pocket PC and today,
I'll take you on a tour of the package as shipped by Xigma. In
addition, you will also stand a chance to win this case. For the
pictorial guide and more details about the contest, click

News From The Net
Think Techie reviewed
the Global
WIN SAK38 cooler! Clip - "The
SAK38 from GlobalWin looks at first glance to be a throwback HSF.
Its giant alluminum fins and top-mounted fan give it more in common
with an old-fashioned Alpha cooler than some of the newer offerings
we've been seeing (like just about anything from Zalman, or even
GlobalWin's own TAK68)."

Overclocker Cafe
tested the new
Bluetake USB Dongle! Snip - "Click
through the usual default installation location screens and reboot
the system. After that, two new icons appear. One icon in your
system tray and one on the desktop. The one on the system tray lets
you configure your settings, and the one on the desktop is your
“Bluetooth neighborhood” this is where your Bluetooth devices will
show up. Installation was as hard as putting a piece of toast in a
toaster. You just plug the thing in to an open USB port."
VoidYourWarranty
reviewed the
Thermaltake Volcano 7 cooler! Snip - "The
utility of a thermally controlled fan that has its probe on the side
of the fan rather than embedded into the heatsink should be
questioned. Even with relatively cool intake air (24-25C), the CPU
is still running extremely hot (74C if you trust AMD's technical
document), but even with the CPU close to meltdown, the Tt fan is
still poking along at minimum speed. One would have to get the
ambient temperature another 10-15C to cause the Volcano7's fan to
spin at full speed."
PC-Extreme posted a
review of the
Crystal
Orb! Quote - "Nowadays
us Overclockers don't just cool the CPU
to push the Mhz further and further to
gain more performance out of the applications we use and the games
we play. One of the main points in increasing performance in games
is to overclock the graphics card to however much the cooling can
cope. Many Graphics cards are not supplied with active cooling and
low performance heatsinks which does not assist this, so what we
need is an active cooler for our Graphics card, in my case a Geforce
2 MX, I was able to before using the Crystal Orb get the core speed
to 190Mhz, with the Crystal Orb I will try and push this to 220Mhz."
Unique Hardware
posted a review of some
green neon string! Clip - "Neon
string is great, you can mod virtually anything with it. Be it
lighting up the case within so you can see through your window, or
modding a keyboard. The choice is yours ! First off I'll review the
neon string itself, then mod something with it!"
BurnoutPC posted their
review of the
ASUS
TUSL2-C Socket 370 motherboard! Quote - "Asus
is well known in Motherboards but also in VideoCards. They made /
and still make, High quality motherboards. Overclockers want the
best motherboard, and of course a Socket motherboard, well it's not
that new anymore like the AMD XP and the P4 even, so I'm reviewing a
socket motherboard now :)"
